Easter Fun & Games 2026

Our Easter Fun and Games event was once again a huge success, bringing together families, friends, members and supporters from across the local community for an afternoon packed with laughter, friendly competition and plenty of chocolate!

Held on 22nd March, the event welcomed not only our regular club members and volunteers but also many new families from the surrounding area. It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the activities and helping to support DBC Club for Young People.

Fun for All Ages

We believe that community events should have something for everyone, and our Easter Fun and Games certainly delivered!

Throughout the day, families enjoyed a variety of Easter-themed games and races, with children (and plenty of competitive adults!) getting involved in the fun.

From exciting races to entertaining challenges, there was always something happening, and it was fantastic to see so many smiling faces.

Easter egg hunt

One of the most anticipated activities of the day was our Easter egg hunt, loved by children right from crawling to teens!

Children searched high and low to discover hidden eggs, with plenty of excitement as they explored and worked together to find as many as they could. It was one of the highlights of the event, and a favourite for many of our younger visitors.

Chocolate, Prizes and a Giant Teddy Bear

No Easter celebration would be complete without chocolate!

We were delighted to hand out Easter eggs as prizes throughout the day, rewarding participants for taking part in the games and races.

Our fundraising raffle was also incredibly popular, with some fantastic chocolate bouquets up for grabs. We’d like to thank everyone who donated prizes and purchased raffle tickets to support the event.

Another favourite was our “Name the Bear” competition, where visitors had the chance to guess the perfect name for our giant teddy bear. The lucky winner even got to take home this giant bear as a prize!

Bringing the Community Together

One of the best things about the event was seeing so many people enjoying the day together.

Families from across the local community joined our members and volunteers, creating a welcoming atmosphere filled with fun, laughter and community spirit.

Events like this help introduce new families to our club while giving everyone the opportunity to spend quality time together and make lasting memories.

Raising over £500 for DBC Club for Young Peopl

As well as being a fantastic day out, the event also helped raise vital funds to support DBC Club for Young People.

Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended, entered the competitions, bought raffle tickets and supported our fundraising activities, we were thrilled to raise over £500.

Every penny raised will help us continue providing a safe, welcoming environment where local children and young people can socialise, develop new skills, enjoy exciting activities and create lifelong memories.

Thank You

A huge thank you goes to everyone who helped make our Easter Fun and Games event such a success.

Thank you to our incredible volunteers for organising and running the activities, our members for getting involved, everyone who donated prizes, and every family who came along to support us.

Your support means the world to us, and it’s events like these that help keep our club thriving for the benefit of young people in our community.
